Practice Gratitude: Being thankful is one of the keys to a happy life. Too often we focus on what we don’t have ( YET ) instead of being grateful for the things we do. Part of my daily routine includes taking a few minutes out of my day to write down something I’m grateful for and it has helped tremendously.
Know Your Why: My why was simple. I’ve always believed in having more than one source of income and using my talents to inspire others. Your why is YOUR driving force, it’s the goal you want to reach. It’s whatever gets you out of the bed in the morning and pushes you to be the amazing woman you know you can be.
Make Time for Personal Development: This has been a complete game changer for me. Being a former teacher, I’ve done plenty when it comes to professional development in my career field, but I never utilized the same skills for my personal life. Waking up early to plan out my day has become part of my daily routine as well as taking a few moments to read something positive to fuel my soul.
Be Happy: Above all things choose happiness. Life is too short to not enjoy the things that put a smile on your face or spark joy in your life.
These are just a few tips that I use to help keep me motivated and living my very best life. I would love to hear from you and know what helps you stay inspired.
Bump Date: 22 Weeks 4 DaysBalance has been the overarching motif for the past few weeks in my household. Between teaching remotely, homeschooling my daughter, and being a wife, everything has started to become one big #quarantined blur. I say choose FAITH. Choose faith over doubt. Choose faith over fear.
Fear held me back from a lot of things and often limited me in my business.
❤️Fear of looking stupid.
❤️Fear of others opinions
❤️Fear of doing Facebook lives
❤️Fear of being successful
But once I pushed my fears aside and focused on FAITH….everything became so much easier.
I want to help other women see how magnificent they are and help them gain a little financial freedom. No matter if you choose to work this business part-time, full-time, or as a hobby. Don’t let the fear of the unknown hold you back.
All my life I have been a doodler. Writing or sketching has always helped me keep focus on whatever task I’m trying to complete. So when I was contacted by ChalkOla to review their chalk markers I could not pass up the offer. The inner neat freak in me couldn’t wait to try the markers on my various chalkboard labels while my educator side was excited to have my students use them during our PBL project.
Here is a little information about ChalkOla markers:
All ChalkOla products are water based and non-toxic. Great to use with the kiddos.
The markers work on any non-porous surface: chalkboard, dry erase boards, plastic and glass.
Clean up is very simple using a cleaning wipe or damp cloth.
I have always wanted to try chalk markers, so the day my package came I was like a kid in candy store. I received an 8 Count of Jumbo Neon Markers and a 16 Count of Chalk Pens and Metallic Markers. I honestly loved using the markers; the colors came off bright and vibrant and they were as easy to use as normal markers. Due to the high density of the chalk ink it does take a minute to get the markers working initially, but after that using them is a breeze. We tried using it on various surfaces (chalkboard, dry erase board, glass mirror and chalkboard labels) and the markers performed equally well across them all. I will say that the neon colors looked really good against the black background of the chalkboard and chalkboard labels.
My favorite aspect was the easy and straightforward clean up, especially after using them with a 3 year old. I simply used either a Clorox or baby wipe to clean the ink from any of the various test surfaces even after it had completely dried. Another nice attribute I noticed is that after cleaning the ink from a surface and letting it dry there was no residue like you may have with normal or dry erase markers. This means you don’t have to worry about having weird hues appear in your creations after erasing an old image from your drawing surface.
If you’re interested in purchasing these products you can get them on Amazon with the links below. Also the amazing people over at ChalkOla have offered my readers a 15% flat discount on all ChalkOla Products.
