Faith Over Fear

I say choose FAITH. Choose faith over doubt. Choose faith over fear.

Fear held me back from a lot of things and often limited me in my business.

❤️Fear of looking stupid.

❤️Fear of others opinions

❤️Fear of doing Facebook lives

❤️Fear of being successful

But once I pushed my fears aside and focused on FAITH….everything became so much easier.

I want to help other women see how magnificent they are and help them gain a little financial freedom. No matter if you choose to work this business part-time, full-time, or as a hobby. Don’t let the fear of the unknown hold you back.

MommyMoments: 5 Must-Haves

I know it’s been a minute but I’m back with brand new motherhood content, organization hacks, and beauty tips. Life has been a whirlwind for the past few months (more about that coming soon, but 2019 is here and it’s time to get things in order. Let’s face it as moms, wives, career women, and entrepreneurs our day is jam-packed with numerous to-do items. With that being said, one of my goals for the new year is finding ways to better organize my days, weeks, and months so that I can conquer these tasks efficiently. So to kick things off, today I’m sharing my top 5 busy mom must-haves.

Planners: Raise your hand if your life revolves around your planner. I’ll be the first to admit my planner keeps me sane. It helps me keep track of my personal tasks as well as my family’s busy schedules. The personal planner I’m currently using is the Glamorous Planning Planner, but usually, Michaels is my go-to spot for all things planner related.

Functional Purse/Tote Bag: I’m so guilty of carrying around my purse, work bag, and iPad case because I never know when I’m going to need something. But lately, I’ve been following the motto “Work smarter, not harder.”; so I decided to invest in a more functional tote bag which can hold everything I need while I’m on the go, but still looks cute. Piper Nobel makes amazing functional totes and purses and is a great starting point for anyone interested in consolidating their load.

Digital Calendar: All phones and most tablets have some sort of digital calendar. Since my phone uses Android my go-to is Google Calendar. I love the fact that I can add events and appointment directly from my email, sync my info across various platforms and devices, and share planning items between my husband and me. If Google isn’t your thing, then check out your respective app store for the hundreds of calendar options available there.

Checklist App: Checklist apps are great for ensuring the more immediate to-do items in your life are taken care of. There are a million checklist apps so research and find the one that works best for you. My current favorite is Wunderlist: it’s very user-friendly and helps me keeps my day together.

Water Bottle: I know this seems random but daily water intake is vital. Personally, having some form of a water bottle with me is a great reminder to mind my water intake. The cup I use the most is my Zak! brand tumbler, which is similar to the more expensive Yeti cups but is way more affordable and just as effective.

I hope you find these tools useful and be sure to hit the comments below with some of your busy moms must-haves.

Skin Care 101: The Basics

I have a confession to make: I neglected taking care of my skin for almost five years straight. In my teens I was obsessed with having clear skin, and I used Neutrogena facial wash religiously as part of my pre-school morning routine. However, by my college years I was sleeping in my makeup, neglecting to wash my face, and using any product I could grab to moisturize my skin. As a result I suffered from random breakouts, discolorations, and dry patches all over my face. After developing a love/hate relationship with my skin, I realized I couldn’t just keep using makeup to conceal the damage, and I started researching and teaching myself proper skin techniques. Over the next few weeks I’m going to share some of my favorite skincare essentials in hope that someone out there avoids the damage I put myself through.

Cleansers: My cleansers usually change with the season or if my skin is in need of a specific ingredient/formula. My current go-to cleanser is SeneGence’s 3 in 1 Normal to Oily cleanser, it cleans your skin, exfoliates, and tones all in one. I love that the product is detergent free and helps balance the skin’s Ph level.

Honorable Mentions

Lush: Dark Angels – great for oily skin

Philosophy: Purity Made Simple – great for all skin types

Facial Scrubs/Exfoliators: Until recently, I never knew how important a good facial exfoliator is to have in your skin arsenal. In my mind exfoliating was something strictly used by professionals in day spas only. In reality everyone should exfoliate at least once or twice a week to help get rid of old/dead skin cells and leave you feeling soft and smooth. I can’t just pick one facial scrub so I will list my 2 favorites.

Fresh Sugar Facial Polish: smells wonderful and includes wild strawberries that help brighten your skin

SeneGence Facial Resurfacer: you only need to use very little of the product and it contains SenePlex complex for anti-aging/cellular renewal(more information about this coming soon).

Moisturizers: My skin is picky when it comes to moisturizers so I keep it very simple. Shea Moisture Head-to-Toe Coconut oil is my current favorite. Coconut oil is full of antioxidants that keep your skin looking youthful.

Honorable Mentions:

Pixi by Petra Glow Mist: great to wear under makeup or to refresh your skin for a glowy look.

Alba Hawaiian Oil-Free Moisturizer: perfect for summer weather because it’s very light-weight.

My final skin is secret is occasional visits to an esthetician. Even though I have a reliable skin routine, it’s always good to go to an expert who is knowledgeable in proper skin care services and techniques. Licensed esthetician and Youtuber Christina Hayes was nice enough to collaborate with me by filming a Q & A about her journey to become an esthetician and the benefits of visiting one.
